There will be no mid-week youth meetings until the new part-time leaders are appointed.

The mid-week sessions may not necessarily be on Thursdays in future.

Thursday evening has been youth night with two groups meeting. Rock Stars, a children’s group for four to eleven year olds has met at 6 00 pm. Rock Solid, a youth group for the post elevens and teenagers used to meet at 7 30 pm. Both groups used material from Youth for Christ and offered a lively programme including games, making things and drama. Rock Solid has not met since Sept 2007 as there were insufficient leaders for the older group.

The programme extends to occasional days out, evening and weekend events and the opportunity to take part in the Merseyside Christian Youth Camp holidays.

Rock Stars

This group, for ages 4 - 11, has met at 6.00 pm on Thursday evenings in term time at the Mission. They enjoy lots of lively activities, including playing games, creative arts and drama. Once a year, Rock Stars take part in a Family Service on a Sunday morning which is filled with fun pieces for all the family.

Rock Solid

Due to staff shortages with this group, it has not operated this year.

This 11+ youth group used to meet at 7:30pm on Thursday evenings in term time at the mission. There is still, however, a meeting for Rock Solid on Sunday mornings during the Family Service.
