Merseyside Christian Youth Camps operates from Tyn-y-Nant Christian Centre at Abererch, near Pwllheli in Wales.
MCYC is rejoicing in new facilities, which will make a big difference to each camp. A state of the art new kitchen has been built and installed with first class equipment. The computerised new cooker does absolutely everything at the push of a button. It even cleans itself! Dining room duty will be less arduous then before due to the new dishwasher, which completes a cycle in less than three minutes.
Plans are now in hand to replace the girls' chalets with 4 units each to accommodate 24 people. Each room will have 4 beds and will be en-suite and centrally heated. Each unit will have an open plan entrance and an area for making light refreshments.
